Nimood Adult Portable Bed Rails Recalled Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Entrapment and Asphyxiation Hazards; Violate Mandatory Standard for Adult Portable Bed Rails
Reason for Recall
The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails, because users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. The bed rails do not meet structural stability or retention strap requirements, posing a fall hazard. Furthermore, the bed railsβ push pins and push pin holes are incorrectly sized, posing a laceration hazard. In addition, the bed rails do not bear the required hazard warning labels.

About mislabeling recalls
Mislabeling recalls occur when a product's packaging contains incorrect information β wrong ingredients, inaccurate net weight, incorrect usage instructions, or packaging mix-ups where the wrong product ends up in a container. While many mislabeling issues are low-risk, they can be dangerous when the label omits allergens, provides incorrect dosing information for a medication, or creates confusion about a product's contents.
β Check any remaining product carefully against the official recall notice to confirm whether your specific lot or batch is affected.
What to do if you're affected
- βStop using the product immediately.
- βCheck the model number and any date codes or serial numbers against the specific units listed in the recall notice.
- βFollow the manufacturer's instructions for the remedy at the link in the official recall notice.
- βDo not donate or sell the recalled product.
- βKeep children and pets away from the recalled item.
